Product information
About
Benalgis from Franco-Indian contains benfotiamine, a fat-soluble form of vitamin B1 (thiamine). It is used to support nerve health, especially in people prone to diabetic nerve damage and B1 deficiency.
Uses
- Diabetic peripheral neuropathy
- Tingling, numbness or burning feet
- Vitamin B1 deficiency
- Supportive care for alcohol-related neuropathy
How it works
Benfotiamine is absorbed better than ordinary thiamine and is converted in the body to active forms of vitamin B1. It helps protect nerves from damage caused by high sugar levels and supports normal nerve signalling.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, swallowed with water. It can usually be taken with or without food.
Side effects
- Mild stomach upset
- Nausea
- Skin rash in rare cases
- Allergic itching
Precautions
Tell your doctor if you have known allergy to vitamin B preparations, are pregnant or breastfeeding. Use along with overall diabetes care and blood sugar control as advised.
Storage
Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep tablets in the original strip and out of reach of children.
