Ventab XL 150 from Intas is an extended-release antidepressant tablet containing venlafaxine, designed for steady release through the day.

• Major depressive disorder
• Generalised anxiety, panic, and social anxiety disorders (as advised)

Venlafaxine is an SNRI — a serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. It raises the levels of these two brain chemicals, which helps lift mood and ease anxiety over time.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, swallowed whole with water. The extended-release form should never be crushed or split.

• Nausea or loss of appetite
• Dry mouth, sweating
• Sleepiness or insomnia
• Dizziness or headache

Tell your doctor about any heart, liver, or blood-pressure issues. Don't stop the medicine abruptly — doses are tapered slowly. Avoid combining with other antidepressants unless advised.
