Mirtaz 7.5

Mirtaz 7.5 from Sun Pharma is a low-strength Mirtazapine tablet. Doctors often start with this dose for older patients or when sleep support is the main need along with mood.

• Mild to moderate depression
• Depression with disturbed sleep
• Starting dose before stepping up
• Anxiety with depression (as advised)

Mirtazapine, a tetracyclic antidepressant, gently rebalances serotonin and noradrenaline activity in the brain. At lower doses it tends to have a calming, sleep-friendly effect.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually swallowed at bedtime with water. Do not stop suddenly; the doctor will taper when needed.

• Drowsiness and tiredness next morning
• Increased appetite
• Mild weight gain
• Dry mouth
• Dizziness

Tell the doctor about liver, kidney or heart problems, epilepsy, glaucoma or any bipolar history. Avoid alcohol. Be careful with driving and machines till you know your response.

Store below 25°C in the original strip, away from moisture and sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
