Veniz XR from Sun Pharma contains Venlafaxine, a serotonin-noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor (SNRI). The extended-release format gives steady drug levels through the day and is used in several mood and anxiety disorders.

• Major depressive disorder
• Generalised anxiety disorder
• Social anxiety and panic disorder

Venlafaxine blocks the reuptake of two key brain chemicals, serotonin and noradrenaline, so more of them remain available between nerve cells. Over time this rebalances mood and reduces anxiety symptoms.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day with food. Swallow the capsule whole with water and do not crush or chew it.

• Nausea, dry mouth, or loss of appetite
• Headache or dizziness
• Sleep disturbances
• Sweating or a rise in blood pressure

Do not stop suddenly, as withdrawal symptoms can occur. Inform your doctor about high blood pressure, heart problems, glaucoma, pregnancy, or other medicines, especially antidepressants. Avoid alcohol during treatment.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place, away from light. Keep out of reach of children.
