Doxolin 200

Doxolin 200 Tablet from Zydus contains Doxofylline, a bronchodilator of the methylxanthine class. It is a prescription medicine used to keep the airways open in long-term breathing problems.

• Asthma (long-term control)
• Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
• Chronic bronchitis with wheezing
• Breathlessness from narrowed airways

Doxofylline relaxes the muscles around the small airways in the lungs, so they open up and air can move in and out more easily. This reduces wheeze, chest tightness and breathlessness over regular use.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually swallowed whole with water. It is often taken at fixed times every day to keep a steady level in the body. Do not stop it just because you feel better; talk to the doctor first.

• Nausea or vomiting
• Headache
• Fast or irregular heartbeat
• Tremor of the hands
• Sleep disturbance
• Stomach pain

Tell the doctor about heart, liver or kidney problems, ulcers, epilepsy or thyroid disease. Avoid taking with strong tea, coffee or other caffeine-rich drinks in large amounts. Inform the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep in the original strip and out of reach of children.
