Duzela 40

Duzela 40 from Sun Pharma contains Duloxetine. Doctors prescribe it for depression, anxiety and certain types of long-standing nerve pain such as diabetic nerve pain or fibromyalgia.

Duloxetine is a serotonin-noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor (SNRI). It raises the levels of two natural chemicals, serotonin and noradrenaline, in the brain and spinal cord. This lifts low mood, calms anxiety and quietens the pain signals that nerves send to the brain.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the capsule whole with water, with or without food. Do not stop suddenly even if you feel better — speak to your doctor about reducing the dose gradually.

• Nausea or dry mouth
• Sleepiness or trouble sleeping
• Constipation
• Dizziness
• Reduced appetite or sweating

Tell the doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, glaucoma, bleeding problems or a history of seizures. Avoid alcohol. Inform the doctor about all other medicines, especially other antidepressants or blood thinners.

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep in the original strip and out of the reach of children.
