Librium 10

Librium 10 from Abbott contains Chlordiazepoxide, a benzodiazepine. It is used for the short-term relief of severe anxiety and to help manage some symptoms of alcohol withdrawal under medical care.

Chlordiazepoxide boosts the calming effect of a natural brain chemical called GABA. This slows over-active nerve signals, easing anxiety and producing a calming effect.

Swallow the tablet whole with water, exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop suddenly; your doctor will help taper the dose when it is time.
