Macsita M XR 100/500 from Macleods is an extended-release antidiabetic tablet with Sitagliptin and Metformin. It is used for adults with type 2 diabetes when smoother, longer blood sugar control is needed.

Sitagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor, increases the gut hormones that help the pancreas release insulin when sugar rises. Metformin lowers sugar production by the liver and helps the body use insulin more effectively. The extended-release format slowly delivers Metformin over hours.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow whole with water during or after a meal, usually in the evening. Do not crush, split or chew the tablet.

Tell the doctor about kidney or liver problems, past pancreatitis, or heavy drinking. Pause before contrast-dye scans or surgery if advised. Watch for low blood sugar if used with other diabetes medicines.
