Sharkoferrol

Sharkoferrol from Alembic Pharmaceuticals is a haematinic tonic containing Iron and Folic Acid. It is commonly given to people with low haemoglobin, including pregnant women, growing children and women with heavy periods.

Iron is essential for making haemoglobin, the part of red blood cells that carries oxygen around the body. Folic acid helps the bone marrow make new healthy red blood cells. Together they help correct deficiency anaemia.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. It is usually taken on an empty stomach or as your doctor advises, with water or juice. Avoid taking it with tea, coffee or milk at the same time.

Not for people with iron overload disorders. Tell your doctor about kidney problems, stomach ulcers or any current medicines. Keep this and all iron products strictly out of reach of children, as overdose can be dangerous.

Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep the bottle tightly closed and away from direct sunlight.
