Trafolic 10

Trafolic from Sun Pharma contains folic acid, a B-group vitamin needed for healthy red blood cells and DNA building. The 10 mg strength is used when higher doses are needed for deficiency or specific medical conditions.

• Folate deficiency anaemia
• Folate deficiency caused by poor diet, pregnancy or certain medicines
• Support during chronic dialysis or malabsorption states
• Prevention of neural tube defects when planning pregnancy if specifically advised

Folic acid is converted in the body to active folate, which is essential for forming new red blood cells and building DNA in dividing cells. Replacing the missing folate corrects anaemia and supports normal cell growth.

Swallow the tablet with water, with or without food, as prescribed by your doctor. Try to take it at the same time each day so it becomes a habit.

Vitamin B12 deficiency should be checked before long-term high-dose folic acid, as folate can mask the anaemia of B12 deficiency while nerve damage continues. Tell your doctor about epilepsy, cancer or any anti-folate medicine you take. It is generally safe in pregnancy and breastfeeding when prescribed.
