Calcimax K2 from Meyer is a prescription bone-health tablet that combines Calcitriol (the active form of Vitamin D), calcium, magnesium, zinc and Vitamin K2-7.

Calcitriol is the active form of Vitamin D that directly helps the gut absorb calcium. Calcium builds bone, while Vitamin K2 helps guide that calcium into the bones and away from blood vessels, and magnesium and zinc support bone-forming cells.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with water after a meal. Your doctor may check your blood calcium from time to time.

• High blood calcium with overuse, causing thirst, tiredness or loss of appetite

Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, kidney stones, high blood calcium, or are on digoxin or blood thinners, as Vitamin K2 and calcium can interact with these. Do not combine with other Vitamin D products without advice.
