Hepatoglobine is a haematinic syrup from Raptakos, Brett & Co. that brings together iron, folic acid and vitamin B12 to help support healthy red blood cell formation.

Iron is a key building block of haemoglobin, while folic acid and vitamin B12 help your body produce healthy red blood cells in the bone marrow.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually after meals to reduce stomach upset. Shake the bottle well before measuring each dose.

• Mild nausea or constipation
• Metallic taste in the mouth

Avoid taking with tea, coffee or milk at the same time, as they can reduce iron absorption. Tell your doctor about any iron overload conditions or ongoing supplements.
