About
Tonoferon drops from East India Pharmaceutical Works are a paediatric iron tonic enriched with B12 and folic acid, used to support healthy haemoglobin in infants and young children.

How it works
Colloidal ferric oxide supplies easily absorbed iron for haemoglobin, vitamin B12 supports healthy red cell formation, and folic acid helps in the maturing of new blood cells.
How to take
Give as prescribed by your doctor using the dropper, ideally between feeds. Wipe the dropper after use to keep it clean.
Side effects
- Temporary dark stools
- Mild constipation
- Tooth staining if not rinsed
- Slight stomach upset
Precautions
Keep firmly out of reach of children, as iron overdose is dangerous. Tell your doctor about any other supplements being given.
