Feroz 300 from Knoll is an iron supplement built around ferrous fumarate, a well-tolerated form of iron used to replenish low stores in the body.

The ferrous iron in this tablet is absorbed through the gut and used to build haemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen around your body.

Swallow as prescribed by your doctor, usually with water. Taking it with vitamin C-rich food can help absorption, while tea, coffee, and dairy nearby may reduce it.

• Dark or black stools (harmless)
• Constipation, nausea, or stomach discomfort
• Metallic taste

Tell your doctor if you have a known iron overload condition, ulcers, or are on antacids. Keep well away from children, as iron overdose in kids can be serious.
