Pirox 20

Pirox 20 from Cipla is a capsule containing piroxicam, a long-acting pain and inflammation reliever. It is generally prescribed for joint and muscle pain that needs steady, day-long relief.

Piroxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It blocks the cyclo-oxygenase enzymes that produce prostaglandins, the chemicals responsible for pain, swelling and inflammation in joints and tissues.

Swallow the capsule with a glass of water after food as prescribed by your doctor, ideally at the same time daily.

• Skin rash
• Risk of stomach ulcer with long-term use

Tell your doctor about ulcers, asthma, kidney or heart disease, or blood pressure problems. Avoid in late pregnancy. Do not combine with other NSAIDs. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest needed time.

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep the strip closed and out of reach of children.
