About
Dolonex DT from Pfizer is a dispersible pain-relief tablet containing Piroxicam, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine. It is used when long-acting pain control is needed.
Uses
- Joint pain in arthritis
- Back and neck pain
- Period pain
- Pain after injury
- Stiffness from inflammation
How it works
Piroxicam blocks the cyclo-oxygenase enzymes that produce prostaglandins, the body chemicals behind pain, swelling and fever. Reduced prostaglandins mean less pain and inflammation.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor. Disperse the tablet in a little water and drink, preferably with or after food to protect the stomach. Do not crush or chew dry.

- Headache or dizziness
- Skin rash
- Swelling of feet
Precautions
Avoid in people with stomach ulcer, severe asthma, heart failure or kidney disease. Not safe in late pregnancy. Tell your doctor if you take blood thinners or steroids. Use the shortest course possible.

Keep below 25°C in a dry place. Keep the strip sealed until use. Keep out of reach of children.
