Femilon

Femilon from Organon is a combined oral contraceptive pill containing Ethinyl Estradiol and Desogestrel, used to prevent pregnancy when taken regularly.

• Helping regularise menstrual cycles
• Reducing painful periods in some users
• Lighter, more predictable bleeding

The pill combines a low dose of estrogen with a progestogen, which together stop the release of an egg each month, thin the uterine lining, and thicken cervical mucus so sperm cannot pass easily.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, at the same time each day, in the order shown on the pack. Follow your doctor's advice on starting the pack and what to do if you miss a dose.

• Nausea, especially at first
• Breast tenderness
• Spotting between periods
• Headache or mood changes

Tell your doctor about smoking, migraine, high blood pressure, blood-clot history, liver problems, or breast issues before starting. Seek urgent care for severe leg pain, chest pain, breathlessness, or sudden vision changes.

Store below 30°C in a dry place away from sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack in its carton and out of reach of children.
