About
HCQS 300 from Ipca is a prescription hydroxychloroquine tablet used mainly for autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.
Uses
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Systemic and discoid lupus erythematosus
- Selected malaria treatment when prescribed
How it works
Hydroxychloroquine dampens an overactive immune response by acting inside immune cells, reducing the inflammation that causes joint pain, swelling and skin lesions in autoimmune disease. In malaria it disrupts the parasite's life cycle inside red blood cells.
How to take
Take with food or milk and swallow whole with water as prescribed by your doctor.

- Rare retinal changes with long-term use
Precautions
Regular eye check-ups are important during long-term therapy. Share your history of heart rhythm issues, liver disease, psoriasis or pregnancy with your doctor. Keep tablets away from children.
