About
Febutec 40 from Cipla contains Febuxostat, a medicine widely used to manage long-term high uric acid levels in people who have gout.

How it works
Febuxostat works by blocking an enzyme called xanthine oxidase, which the body uses to make uric acid. With less uric acid produced, levels in the blood gradually fall and crystals are less likely to form in joints.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with a glass of water. Try to take it at the same time each day, and keep using it even if you feel well unless your doctor stops it.

Precautions
