About
HCQS 200 from Ipca is a prescription tablet of hydroxychloroquine, widely used in autoimmune conditions and historically as an antimalarial.
Uses
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Systemic and discoid lupus erythematosus
- Prevention and treatment of certain types of malaria when prescribed
How it works
Hydroxychloroquine quietens an overactive immune system by interfering with signalling inside immune cells, which helps reduce joint pain, swelling and skin flare-ups in autoimmune disease. In malaria it disturbs the parasite's ability to digest haemoglobin.
How to take
Swallow whole with food or a glass of milk as prescribed by your doctor to reduce stomach upset.

Precautions
