Lipicure 5 by Intas is a low-dose statin tablet. It is often a starting strength for adults who need gentle cholesterol control or who are sensitive to higher doses.

The active ingredient slows down the liver's production of cholesterol. As blood cholesterol drops, the risk of fatty build-up in the arteries is reduced over time.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day with water. It can be taken with or without food, ideally at the same time daily.

• Small changes in liver enzyme tests

Let your doctor know about liver problems, thyroid issues, or alcohol use. Report unexplained muscle pain, dark urine, or extreme tiredness promptly. Avoid large quantities of grapefruit juice while on this medicine.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in the original strip, away from heat and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
