Orasep LA Gel from Elan Pharma is a soothing oral gel made for painful conditions inside the mouth. It pairs choline salicylate, an anti-inflammatory, with lignocaine, a local anaesthetic, so it can both calm the underlying soreness and numb the area you apply it to. Many people use it for ulcers, denture sores and other minor mouth irritations.

Choline salicylate eases inflammation in the lining of the mouth, helping reduce swelling and tenderness. Lignocaine temporarily blocks pain signals in the nerves just below the surface, giving quick numbing relief that lasts for a short while.

Use as prescribed by your doctor or dentist. Typically a small amount is gently applied to the sore area with a clean fingertip. Avoid eating or drinking for a short period after applying so the gel can stay in place and work.
