Mupicip Ointment 10 gm

Mupicip Ointment from Cipla contains mupirocin 2 percent, a topical antibiotic used to treat bacterial skin infections such as impetigo and infected cuts. It is applied directly to affected skin.

• Treatment of impetigo and minor skin infections
• Infected wounds, scratches or insect bites
• Folliculitis caused by susceptible bacteria

Mupirocin blocks an enzyme that bacteria need to make proteins, so the germs cannot grow or multiply. This helps the skin clear the infection and heal.

Apply a thin layer to the affected area as prescribed by your doctor. Wash and dry the skin first, and wash your hands after applying.

• Mild burning, stinging or itching at the site
• Rarely, dryness or redness

For external use only and avoid contact with the eyes, mouth or inside the nose unless specifically advised. Stop and consult your doctor if the area worsens or a rash appears.

Store below 25 degC in the original tube, tightly closed. Do not freeze.
