K Cit Syrup 200 ml

K Cit Syrup contains Potassium Citrate and Citric Acid, used to make the urine less acidic and to help prevent certain types of kidney stones.

• Prevention of uric acid and calcium oxalate kidney stones
• Management of urine acidity (acidosis) in selected kidney conditions
• Supportive care in some metabolic disorders

Potassium citrate is converted in the body to bicarbonate, which makes the urine more alkaline. Less acidic urine reduces the chance of certain stones forming and helps dissolve some existing ones.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually well diluted with water and after meals. Drinking plenty of fluids through the day is generally advised.

• Nausea, stomach upset or mild diarrhoea
• Bloating or burping
• High potassium levels in some users

Tell your doctor about kidney disease, heart problems, dehydration, diabetes, peptic ulcer, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Avoid other potassium supplements and high-potassium salt substitutes unless advised. Your doctor may check kidney function and potassium during treatment.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children.
