Ecosprin Gold 20

Ecosprin Gold 20 from USV is a triple-combination capsule of atorvastatin 20 mg, aspirin 75 mg and clopidogrel 75 mg. It joins a statin with two distinct antiplatelets — a salicylate and a thienopyridine — for comprehensive cardiovascular protection.

Atorvastatin reduces LDL cholesterol by blocking HMG-CoA reductase in the liver and helps stabilise plaques. Aspirin permanently inhibits platelet cyclooxygenase, lowering thromboxane A2. Clopidogrel blocks the platelet P2Y12 receptor, preventing ADP-driven platelet activation. The trio targets clot risk from multiple angles.

Swallow the capsule whole with water, usually at night with or after food, as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop suddenly, especially after a stent, without first checking with your cardiologist.

• Muscle aches or rare liver enzyme rise

Share any history of ulcers, bleeding disorders, planned surgery or dental procedures, liver disease, asthma, pregnancy or breastfeeding with your doctor. Report black stools, vomiting blood, severe headache, unexplained bruising, muscle pain or jaundice. Avoid combining with other blood thinners or NSAIDs without advice.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and moisture. Keep in the original strip and out of reach of children.
