Ecosprin Gold 40

Ecosprin Gold 40 from USV is a high-intensity triple capsule with atorvastatin 40 mg, aspirin 75 mg and clopidogrel 75 mg. It pairs a strong statin with two antiplatelets — a salicylate and a thienopyridine — for adults at very high cardiovascular risk.

Atorvastatin sharply lowers LDL cholesterol by blocking HMG-CoA reductase in the liver and helps stabilise plaques. Aspirin inhibits platelet cyclooxygenase to lower thromboxane A2. Clopidogrel blocks the platelet P2Y12 ADP receptor. Together they reduce platelet activation through different pathways.

Swallow the capsule whole with water, usually at night with or after food, as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop suddenly, especially after a stent, without first checking with your cardiologist.

• Easy bruising or longer bleeding
• Indigestion, heartburn or nausea
• Muscle aches or rare liver enzyme rise

Tell your doctor about ulcers, bleeding disorders, upcoming surgery or dental procedures, liver disease, asthma, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Report black stools, vomiting blood, severe headache, unexplained bruising, muscle pain or jaundice. Avoid combining with other blood thinners or NSAIDs without advice.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and moisture. Keep in the original strip and out of reach of children.
