ORS Powder 21.8 gm

ORS Powder is a sachet of Oral Rehydration Salts that is mixed with clean water to make a rehydration drink. The 21.8 gm pack from AFD makes one litre and follows the WHO-recommended formula.

• Diarrhoea and loose motions
• Vomiting and stomach flu
• Heat exhaustion and dehydration
• Fluid loss after fever or workouts

ORS supplies sodium, potassium, chloride and glucose in correct amounts. Glucose pulls salts and water across the gut wall, helping the body recover lost fluids and minerals fast.

Mix the full sachet in one litre of clean, cool drinking water. Stir well and sip slowly. Use as advised by your doctor and finish prepared solution within 24 hours.

• Mild nausea if drunk too fast

• Occasional vomiting

Do not mix with milk, soup, juice or hot water. Do not add extra sugar or salt. People on salt-restricted diets or with kidney issues should consult a doctor. See a doctor if symptoms worsen or last beyond 24 hours.

Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C. Keep the sachet sealed until use. Keep out of reach of children.
