About
Botroclot contains batroxobin, a thrombin-like enzyme derived from snake venom. It is used as a topical haemostatic to help stop bleeding from minor surface wounds.
Uses
- Stopping bleeding from cuts and abrasions
- Bleeding from tooth extraction sites
- Nose bleeds
- Bleeding after minor surgical procedures
How it works
Batroxobin acts on fibrinogen in the blood to form a fibrin clot at the bleeding site, helping the wound seal more quickly without affecting overall clotting elsewhere in the body.
How to take
Apply directly onto the bleeding area as prescribed by your doctor, using a clean swab or gauze. Keep the area undisturbed for a few minutes to let the clot form.

Precautions
