Misoprost 200

Misoprost 200 from Cipla contains Misoprostol, a prostaglandin medicine. Doctors use it to protect the stomach from ulcers caused by painkillers and, under supervision, in certain pregnancy-related situations.

Misoprostol is a synthetic prostaglandin E1. It cuts down acid release in the stomach and boosts the mucus and bicarbonate that line and protect the stomach wall, helping ulcers to heal.

Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with or after meals to reduce loose motions. Do not use this medicine on your own, especially during pregnancy.

• Loose motions or diarrhoea
• Stomach cramps
• Nausea
• Headache
• Vaginal bleeding or spotting in women

Do not use in pregnancy unless your doctor has specifically prescribed it, as it can cause uterine contractions and serious harm to the baby. Use reliable contraception if you are taking it for ulcer prevention and are of child-bearing age.

Store below 25°C in the original blister, away from moisture and heat. Keep out of reach of children.
