Meprate 10 tab

Meprate from Akums contains Medroxyprogesterone, a synthetic form of the female hormone progesterone. It belongs to the progestin class of medicines and is widely prescribed by gynaecologists for hormone-related conditions.

• Used to treat irregular or absent menstrual periods
• Helps manage abnormal uterine bleeding
• Prescribed as part of hormone therapy in certain conditions

Medroxyprogesterone mimics the action of natural progesterone in the body. It helps regulate the lining of the uterus and supports a more predictable menstrual cycle.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, ideally at the same time each day. Swallow whole with water and do not stop the course on your own.

• Spotting or changes in menstrual flow
• Headache, breast tenderness or mood changes
• Nausea or mild weight changes

Tell your doctor about any history of blood clots, liver disease, breast cancer or pregnancy. Avoid smoking while on hormone therapy as it can increase certain risks.

Store in a cool, dry place below 25 degrees Celsius and keep out of reach of children.
