Mederma Advance Plus from Win Medicare is a topical scar-care gel with allantoin, panthenol, sodium hyaluronate and Cepalin (onion bulb extract). The 5 g tube is a handy starter size.

Allantoin and panthenol soothe and condition the skin, sodium hyaluronate boosts hydration, and onion extract helps soften scar tissue. With regular use, scars often look smoother and less noticeable.

Apply a small amount to the scar and rub gently three to four times a day, or as directed by your doctor. Use on healed skin only.
