Silverex Ionic Gel from Sun Pharmaceutical Industries contains silver nitrate at a low concentration to help manage minor wounds, burns and skin abrasions while they heal.
Uses
- Minor cuts, scrapes and abrasions
- Superficial burns
- Small post-procedure wounds (as advised)
How it works
Silver ions released from the gel have an antimicrobial effect on common skin bacteria, helping keep the wound surface cleaner during healing.
How to take
For external use only. Apply as prescribed by your doctor: clean the area, then put a thin layer of gel on the wound. Avoid the eyes and inside of the mouth.
Side effects
- Mild burning or stinging
- Local redness or itching
- Temporary skin staining at the spot
Precautions
Not for large, deep or heavily infected wounds without medical advice. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or known to be allergic to silver.
