Product information
About
Ibglow HD Cream from Linux Laboratories is a prescription skin cream that combines Hydroquinone, Tretinoin and Mometasone. It is used for short courses to fade dark patches on the face, mainly melasma.
Uses
- Melasma (dark facial patches) in adults
- Post-inflammatory dark spots, when advised
- Uneven facial pigmentation on doctor's advice
How it works
Hydroquinone reduces the amount of pigment (melanin) produced by skin cells. Tretinoin, a vitamin-A derivative, speeds up skin cell renewal so pigmented cells are shed faster. Mometasone is a mild steroid that calms irritation from the other two ingredients.
How to apply
Apply as prescribed by your doctor. Usually a thin layer is dabbed on the dark patches at bedtime on clean, dry skin. Wash hands after use. A broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day is essential.
Side effects
- Redness, dryness or peeling
- Burning or stinging on first use
- Skin thinning with long use
- Rebound darkening if stopped suddenly without doctor's advice
Precautions
Not for use in pregnancy or breastfeeding. Not for long, continuous use. Avoid eyes, lips, nostrils and broken skin. Always use sunscreen, as the skin becomes very sensitive to sun. Stop and see a doctor if severe irritation occurs.
Storage
Store below 25°C, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the tube tightly closed and out of reach of children.
