Diplomax Ointment 20 g

Diplomax Ointment from Leeford Healthcare is a thick skin ointment combining a potent corticosteroid with an antibiotic. The ointment base makes it well suited to dry, thick or scaly skin patches.

• Inflamed and itchy skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis patches or dermatitis, when infection is suspected
• Skin problems where both anti-inflammatory and antibacterial action are needed, as advised

Clobetasol is a strong steroid that reduces redness, swelling and itching by calming the skin's immune response. Gentamicin is an antibiotic active against many common skin bacteria. The ointment base helps lock in moisture and improve contact with thicker skin.

Use as prescribed by your doctor. Apply a thin film over the affected area as advised, and wash hands after, unless they are being treated.

• Burning or stinging when first applied
• Skin thinning, stretch marks or pigment change with prolonged use
• Extra hair growth on the treated area
• Rare allergic reaction

Avoid the face, underarms and groin unless specifically advised. Do not use under tight bandages without medical advice. Avoid use on broken or viral skin lesions like chickenpox or cold sores without a doctor's approval, and keep the course short.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius, away from direct heat. Keep the tube tightly closed and out of children's reach.
