Folitrax 15

Folitrax 15 from Ipca contains methotrexate, a disease-modifying medicine used in rheumatology, dermatology and oncology.

• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Severe psoriasis
• Some malignancies under specialist care

Methotrexate interferes with folate-dependent steps in cell division, calming overactive immune cells and reducing inflammation in joints and skin.

Take once a week on the same day, as prescribed by your doctor. Never take it daily. Folic acid is usually given on other days.

• Nausea, mouth ulcers
• Fatigue
• Liver enzyme changes, low blood counts

Avoid in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Avoid alcohol. Routine blood and liver checks are essential. Tell your doctor about any fever, cough or new medicines.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in the original strip, out of children's reach. Do not crush.
