Ecosprin AV 75/20

Ecosprin AV 75/20 from USV combines atorvastatin 20 mg with aspirin 75 mg in one capsule. The blend of a statin and a salicylate antiplatelet helps tackle high cholesterol and platelet stickiness together for cardiovascular protection.

Atorvastatin inhibits HMG-CoA reductase in the liver, reducing LDL cholesterol and helping stabilise plaques in artery walls. Aspirin irreversibly blocks platelet cyclooxygenase and lowers thromboxane A2 so platelets are less likely to form harmful clots.

Swallow the capsule whole with water, usually at night with or after food, as prescribed by your doctor. Avoid heavy grapefruit intake and do not discontinue suddenly without medical advice.

• Muscle aches or rare rise in liver enzymes

Tell your doctor about liver disease, ulcers, asthma, bleeding tendency, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Report muscle pain, weakness, dark urine, jaundice, black stools or vomiting blood. Avoid combining with other antiplatelets or NSAIDs without medical advice.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and moisture. Keep in the original strip and out of reach of children.
