Accu Check Active Strips 50

These are Accu-Chek Active blood glucose test strips from Roche, sold in a box of 50. They are designed to work with the Accu-Chek Active meter and help people with diabetes check their sugar at home quickly and easily.

A tiny drop of blood placed on the strip reacts with an enzyme that turns glucose into a small electrical signal. The Accu-Chek Active meter reads this signal and shows your sugar level on the screen within seconds.

Insert one strip into the meter, prick a clean fingertip with a lancet and gently touch the blood drop to the test area on the strip. Wait for the meter to display the reading, then note it down in your sugar diary.

• Slight soreness at the finger-prick site
• Tiny bruising in some users
• Wrong reading if strip is exposed to air or moisture

Use only with the Accu-Chek Active meter. Do not use strips after the expiry date or if the vial has been left open. Wash and dry your hands before testing to avoid false readings. Discuss your readings with your doctor before changing any medicine.

Keep the strips in their original vial with the cap tightly closed, in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Do not refrigerate. Keep out of reach of children.
