Scalp vein set 18 no

A scalp vein set from Romsons is a small, sterile, single-use IV device used by trained healthcare staff to give fluids or medicines into a vein. The 18 gauge size is a larger bore used when faster flow is needed.

The set has a fine needle with small wing grips and a length of tubing. The needle is placed into a vein by a trained person, then connected to an IV line or syringe so fluids or medicines can flow into the bloodstream.

For use by trained healthcare staff only, following standard sterile technique. Open the pack just before use, insert as per training, secure with tape and dispose of safely after use.

• Mild pain or bruising at the site
• Redness or swelling around the vein
• Rare infection if sterility is broken

For single use only, by trained healthcare staff. Do not re-use or re-sterilise. Discard safely in a sharps container after use.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the pack sealed until use and out of reach of children.
