Scalp vein set 22 no

The Romsons scalp vein set in 22 gauge is a fine, sterile, single-use IV needle device. The 22 G size is often chosen for smaller or more delicate veins and is commonly used in routine adult and paediatric care.

• Short-term IV access
• Giving fluids or medicines
• Drawing blood samples
• Use in adults and older children as advised

A thin winged needle is gently placed into a vein by a trained person, then connected to IV tubing. Medicines or fluids can then be given directly into the bloodstream for fast action.

For use only by trained healthcare staff. Open the sterile pack just before use, follow standard technique and discard into a sharps container immediately after the procedure.

• Mild pain or bruising at the site
• Redness or swelling near the vein
• Rare infection if sterility is not kept

For single use only. Do not recap or re-use the needle. Dispose of safely in a sharps bin after use.
