Gripe Water 150 ml

Gripe Water is a traditional over-the-counter liquid for infants and small children, marketed here under the Warner brand. It is most commonly used to ease minor stomach discomfort and wind in babies.

Gripe water usually contains soothing carminative ingredients such as dill or fennel along with sodium bicarbonate. These are traditionally believed to help release trapped gas, calm the stomach lining and reduce the spasms that cause crying and discomfort.

Give as advised on the pack label or by your paediatrician. Shake the bottle well, use the measuring spoon provided, and offer between feeds rather than right before or after a full feed.

Check the label for ingredients, especially if your baby has known allergies. Do not exceed the dose mentioned on the pack. If colic, vomiting or crying is severe or continuous, see a paediatrician instead of relying only on gripe water.

Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C, away from direct sunlight. Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children. Use within the time mentioned on the label after opening.
