Mask Surgical

A surgical mask is a disposable face cover worn over the nose and mouth. It acts as a simple barrier against droplets, splashes and large airborne particles in everyday and clinical settings.

The layered fabric traps respiratory droplets that come out when you breathe, talk, cough or sneeze, and also reduces the droplets reaching you from people nearby.

Clean your hands before wearing. Place the coloured side outwards, fit the metal strip over the bridge of the nose and pull the lower edge under the chin. Replace once it becomes damp or soiled.

• Fogging of spectacles if not fitted well

Do not reuse a single-use mask. Avoid touching the front of the mask while wearing. Dispose of used masks in a closed bin. People with breathing difficulty should consult a doctor about suitable masks.

Keep in a clean, dry place away from dust and moisture. Keep out of reach of small children to avoid choking risk.
