The strip carries an enzyme that reacts with glucose in a small drop of your blood. This reaction creates a tiny electrical current that the meter converts into a clear sugar reading on its screen in seconds.

Insert a strip into the AccuSure meter, gently prick a clean fingertip with a lancet and touch the blood drop to the strip. Read the value when the meter beeps and record it in your sugar diary.
