Pampers from Procter and Gamble are widely used disposable baby diapers. The New Born size, in a pack of 17, is meant for the smallest babies, with extra-soft layers and a cord-stump cut-out.

A very soft top sheet wicks wetness into an absorbent core that turns liquid into gel and keeps it away from delicate skin. A cord-friendly cut-out, stretchy tabs and snug leg cuffs help reduce leaks and pressure on a healing belly button.

Gently lay your baby on the open diaper, bring the front up below the cord stump and fasten the side tabs snugly. Change very often, as newborns wet and soil many times a day.

Clean and dry the skin at every change, and use a barrier cream if redness starts. Keep the cord stump exposed to air until it heals. Move up to a bigger size as your baby grows.
