About
Etoxib 60 from Torrent is a COX-2 selective NSAID tablet. It is widely used for joint pain and arthritis where stomach-friendly anti-inflammatory action is preferred.
Uses
- Osteoarthritis pain
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Acute gout attacks
How it works
Etoricoxib selectively blocks the COX-2 enzyme that produces pain and swelling chemicals during inflammation. By sparing COX-1, it is gentler on the stomach than older NSAIDs.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food. Swallow whole with water.
Side effects
- Headache or dizziness
- Mild rise in blood pressure
- Stomach discomfort
Precautions
Avoid in uncontrolled high blood pressure, recent heart attack or stroke, and severe kidney or liver disease. Not for use in pregnancy. Use the lowest dose for the shortest time.
