Intagesic P

Intagesic P combines diclofenac and paracetamol in one tablet, marketed by Mylan. It is used for everyday pain and fever, especially when there is some swelling or inflammation.

• Mild to moderate pain in joints, muscles and bones
• Headache, dental pain and period pain
• Pain and fever after minor injuries

Diclofenac is an NSAID that reduces the body's production of pain and swelling chemicals (prostaglandins). Paracetamol adds extra pain relief and lowers fever by acting mainly on the brain's pain centres.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or after food and a glass of water. Swallow the tablet whole.

• Stomach upset, nausea or indigestion
• Risk of stomach ulcers or bleeding with long use
• Headache or dizziness
• Skin rash in some people

Tell your doctor about ulcers, liver or kidney disease, heart problems, asthma, blood thinners or other painkillers. Avoid extra paracetamol-containing products at the same time. Use the lowest helpful dose for the shortest time and stop if you notice black stools or severe stomach pain.

Store below 25 degrees C in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
