Melanocyl 40 tab

Melanocyl from Uniflon contains methoxsalen, a plant-derived psoralen used together with controlled UVA light therapy for certain skin pigmentation disorders such as vitiligo and psoriasis.

• Used in PUVA (psoralen + UVA) therapy under specialist care

Methoxsalen makes skin cells more sensitive to UVA light. When the skin is then exposed to UVA, it stimulates pigment-producing cells and calms overactive skin cells.

Take by mouth with food as prescribed by your doctor, followed by carefully timed UVA exposure under medical supervision. Do not use without a dermatologist's guidance.

Wear UV-protective sunglasses and avoid sunlight for the period your doctor advises after each dose. Not for people with light-sensitive conditions, severe liver disease, or during pregnancy.
