Meftal 250 DT from Blue Cross is a dispersible tablet of mefenamic acid, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine. The DT format dissolves in water, making it easier to take for older children and adults who find swallowing tablets difficult.

• Fever
• Mild to moderate pain such as headache or toothache
• Menstrual cramps
• Joint and muscle aches

Mefenamic acid reduces the production of prostaglandins, the chemicals that cause pain, swelling and fever. With fewer of these messengers around, the body feels less pain and the temperature comes down.

Disperse the tablet in a small amount of water, stir and drink the full dose as prescribed by your doctor. Take with or after food to protect the stomach.

• Indigestion or stomach pain
• Nausea
• Drowsiness
• Loose stools
• Rash in sensitive people

Tell your doctor if you have ulcers, asthma, kidney or liver issues, or are taking other painkillers. Avoid during late pregnancy and use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in the original blister, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
