Nicip 10 tab

Nicip from Cipla contains nimesulide, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It is used short-term for pain and inflammation in adults.

• Short-term relief of acute pain
• Painful menstrual periods
• Pain linked to soft-tissue or joint inflammation

Nimesulide blocks an enzyme called cyclo-oxygenase, mainly the COX-2 form, which lowers the production of chemicals that drive pain, swelling, and fever. The result is calmer tissue and less discomfort.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or after food to protect the stomach. Use it for the shortest time needed, as longer use raises the risk of liver problems.

• Stomach pain or heartburn
• Nausea
• Loose motions
• Rash or itching in some people

Do not use in children, in pregnancy, or if you have liver disease, active ulcers, or severe kidney problems. Stop and seek help if you notice yellowing of the eyes, dark urine, or severe stomach pain.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place, away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
