About this test
Treponema Pallidum Haemagglutination test is used to detect antibodies against Treponema pallidum, the bacterium that causes syphilis. A positive result indicates exposure to syphilis. It is a confirmatory test following initial screening with non-treponemal tests, following secondary stage symptoms like skin rash & sore throat.
