About this test
The 24 Hours Urinary Microalbumin test measures the small amount of a protein called albumin that is passed into the urine within the whole day. Normally, healthy kidneys prevent albumin from leaking into urine, but when the kidneys are damaged – often due to conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure – small amounts can appear. This test helps in the early detection of kidney problems and monitoring of kidney health.
